This page will take you to the

ghost-trains website about

The Devil's Dyke Railway.

On this website we retrace the route of the Dyke Railway from it's junction with the South Coast Mainline at Aldrington, right up to the terminus near the summit.

Amazingly, it is still possible to walk almost the entire route of this fascinating branch line & with the exception of Rowan halt, all of the platforms are still in one piece!

Also on this website:

  • present day photos of all the station sites on the route
  • links to old photos of the same view and location for comparison
  • Devil's Dyke's history as a Victorian Tourist Attraction
  • Old and New maps of the route and overlaid maps for comparison
